Wednesday make its way north through the Territory, reaching the Top End early in the
weekend, contracting any showers and storms over the Top End to the coasts. A
weak cloud band may bring a few showers and areas of rain to areas to the
southwest on Wednesday and Thursday before the cloud clears on Friday.
Thursday A slight to medium chance of showers and thunderstorms across the Tiwi,
northwest Daly, northeast Arnhem and far eastern Carpentaria Districts. A
slight to medium chance of rain in the southern Lasseter and far southwest
Simpson Districts. Sunny elsewhere. Cooler over the Lasseter and Simpson
Districts. Light to moderate east to southeast winds north of Tennant Creek,
tending moderate to fresh and gusty south to southeast to the south. Winds
tending easterly in the Tanami District.
Friday A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms across the north and east Top End,
increasing to a medium chance about the northwest coast and Tiwi Islands.
Mostly sunny elsewhere, with cloud clearing from the south. Cooler in the
northern Simpson and southern Tanami Districts. Light to moderate east to
southeast winds north of Daly Waters, tending moderate to fresh and gusty south
to southeast to the south.
Saturday A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms about the northeast and northwest
coasts of the Top End. Sunny elsewhere. Moderate southeast winds, fresh and
gusty south of the Top End during the day.
